We bought it to slice a spicy frozen ground beef roll that we prepare at home because even our best knives weren't working. This works really well and is easy to use. It made our job so much easier. We are going to use it with other meats, as well. You have to be very careful while cleaning because the space between the blade and the metal rest bar beneath it is very small.
